Hannoversche Spielbanken GmbH changed its name to the current Spielbanken Niedersachsen GmbH.
New casino legislation is adopted by the parliament of Lower Saxony. In future, concessions may only be awarded to state-owned companies. As a result, the licenses of private companies are granted to Hannoversche Spielbanken GmbH when they expire.
